Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886) a poet is known by many, however - did you know Miss. Dickinson was also a gardener; and a good one!

The series is takes the viewer back in time, to the mid 1800's where Emily Dickinson lived at her beloved Homestead in Amherst, MA.  The quiet and shy woman did have a powerful pen, and a eye for gardening indoors and out.

In her later years she gardened by lamp light at night dressed in white; a vision for certain.

The inspiration for the series came from the poems and the Homestead;  and of course waiting for a day with quiet light to bring us back in time.

The series in ongoing and will be ready for show in early December 2009.

All images viewed online are created from negatives, signed and numbered by the artist.
